With its Ethernet module, the CS1 can generate e-mail messages that are distributed within the plant or anywhere in the world via a LAN or WAN.

And, using the FTP server function, data files can be transferred via Ethernet between and the CS1’s internal memory.

CS1 = Power in a compact package.

With a processing time of only 0.04m sec per basic instruction, Omron’s CS1 offers the fastest execution speed in the industry. Other performance specifications include: memory to 250K, up to 5,120 I/O points, Flash memory storage to 30Mbytes. Nine different CS1 CPU processors are available for a range of applications, from small-scale systems to very large, fully integrated networks.

The CS1 provides a variety of networking options, both for open and proprietary networks. Ethernet capabilities are incorporated into the CS1’s architecture. The CS1 also supports Profibus DP and DeviceNet, as well as Omron’s ControllerLink network.

Omron’s FINS (Factory Intelligent Network Services) provides transparent routing of information between open and proprietary networks. Using the CS1’s protocol macro function, users can easily integrate serial devices to the PLC using a few simple instructions.

The Omron CPM2C is a unique micro controller offering an ultra-slim, compact and modular design. It is ideal for applications where there is a requirement for reduced panel space, ease and speed of wiring and installation.

The CPM2C can accept analogue and temperature sensor inputs, with complementary PID, Scaling and Averaging functionality within the instruction set. Multiple high speed counter inputs can be accommodated up to 20KHz.

For distributed processing, the CPM2C can be connected as a slave within an Omron Compobus/S network, a high speed, deterministic, industrial I/O network ideal for low cost, easy to install systems within machines, conveyors etc.

Connections to a computer can be made at the same time as an HMI.
